Rudy Wayne Williams

Rudy Wayne Williams, 79, of Greenwood, Arkansas passed away peacefully at home on Friday, December 11, 2020 after a sudden illness. Rudy was born the son of Calvin and Lela Williams. He was born in California in 1941. He retired after 25 years at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Dahlgren, VA and was an 11-year veteran with the U.S. Navy.

Rudy was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Katherine Goforth, Mary Wright and Marie Watson. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 53 years, Linda Williams; a sister, Melba Irvin; four nieces, Sherri Watson, Judy Clair, Rita Clayton and Keri Rogers and husband, Larry; a nephew, David Fulgham and wife, Nicole; several great nieces and nephews and a lifelong and dear friend, Johnny Wilson and wife, Shirley.

Due to the current covid pandemic, a private family service will be held. Burial will be at Ramsey Cemetery in Hackett under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home of Greenwood. Viewing will be Wednesday from 1 – 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
