Dear Brother,
From the beginning we were either cohorts or rivals, sometimes both at the same time. As little kids we were either figuring out a way to get out of the window without landing on the roses, doing something like digging a trench in the soft dirt of mom's garden, or quite obviously sneaking up on James to tackle him and roughhouse a little. Although, it was all you who caused the explosion in the kitchen oven! All me to convince you to eat the dog food! As teens, I vowed never to ride in a car with you again, but broke that vow in later years. I love the way you played with my grandkids; they love you for it, and Christmas Eve will never be the same again. Love you, Ruel. 

Ruel was my family’s next door neighbor for as long as I remember. He was always very sweet and kind to us while my sister and I were growing up. And he never failed to buy a box of Girl Scout cookies from us. Even his dog was friends with our dog!  Rest In Peace, Ruel. You will be missed. 

Ruel, the world has a hole in it now because a fine man has gone on to glory. 
I just never thought it would be you first 
out of our cousins. I will always remember riding around Irving with you listening to those 8 track tapes and the all day city bus ride we took when you came to Texarkana. I believe now all your “ Why Nots?” are answered. On the lighter side: I hope Heaven has bowls of vanilla ice cream with nacho Doritos on top. 

My wonderful sweet cousin Ruel, the world is a lessor place without him. I know you are united  with your dear parents and family in Glory.... Gods speed until we meet again....

Ruel was a wonderful guy and always willing to help others.   Thoughts and Prayers from all of us at the White Bluff-Rye Hill Volunteer Fire Department.

What a sweet, sweet man. I've never known someone as kind & gentle as Ruel. RIP my friend, with our fellow fire brothers & sisters. 

Memorial Service

Mr. Walker is survived by one brother, James Clifton Walker of Tyler, TX and one sister, Rhoda Golden of Forney, TX.
