Papa, you are missed and loved. I know you're home, and my words cannot describe the great man that has left this earth. I walked into your home almost 19 years ago. You welcomed me and my child with open arms. The love you and Wanetta have shown is immeasurable.  I have loved you from the start. You were always there for me and the kids. You were my fishing buddy, and I was your black Jack good luck charm. I could talk to you about anything. You never passed judgement upon others. You gave of yourself whole heartedly. You made my kids life so much fun. Every time I see fireworks, I think of you. You knew how to have fun, live, laugh, and love. Life will forever be changed. I first met Russell about 40 years ago in Mannford, OK.  I remember him as a very pleasant gentleman.  Years later my wife, Deborah and I met Kevin, Russell's youngest son.  Kevin has assisted us during the last 14 years with many important issues.  It was through Kevin's presence that I reacquainted with his father, Russell.  He will always be remembered by us as a man ready to assist and a gentleman whose presence we appreciated and will miss.  Kevin is all the proof needed.  I once mentioned to Russell that we would like to adopt Kevin.  Russell quickly stated that Kevin had a father.  Russell also stated that he had two boys and was proud of them both.

We briefly met Kevin's brother yesterday.  I now know he is cut from the same Layton cloth.  Without doubt, Mrs. Layton also had great influence with the success of her boys and family.  It was apparent and appreciated.

I also know that we all meet again.
