Ruth Mae Johnson Francis

Ruth Mae Johnson Francis, 91, of Hackett, entered into rest Saturday, December 4, 2010 in Fort Smith. She was born November 3, 1919 in Greenwood, the eighth child of twelve children born to Clyde and Cora Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents and nine of her siblings, her husband, Jesse Francis, and infant daughter, Betty Lois.

Ruth worked many devoted years at Westark Retirement Home, and was loved by all her patients. She was a wonderful lady who blessed the life of all she came in contact with.

Survivors include one son, Jesse Lee Francis of Hackett; two daughters, Joyce Spradley of Greenwood and Carolyn Sue Wollard of Kansas City, Kansas; two sisters, Nellie Hamilton of Hackett, and Flora Bell Ibison of Weatherford, Texas, and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, December 7 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood, with burial at Lovelace Cemetery. Viewing will be 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday, December 6 at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
