Shirley was always a strong and kind person! I think Shirley was an angel, she worked hard and had a lot of responsibilities!! God has a place for Angel's and I'm sure I'll see you there one day my friend! I Love you, so watch over your sweet family and friends for me... Angels Forever!


Shirley was one of the most wonderful people I've ever known.  Her kindness & generosity of spirit are true testament to her strong Christian faith. The world is a lesser place without her.  I miss & love Shirley!

Shirley was such a nice lady.  She took pride in her work, and worked for years at Roland Schools.  Shirley was not one to miss a lot of work and was very dependable.  She liked a good laugh and could tell a good story.  My heart goes out to her 2 daughters, Andrea and Amanda.

Shirley will be misses. She was a sweet lady.,haven't seen her in awhile but loved her.

Shirley was such a good lady. She always wanted to talk and usually had a story to tell. She had a way to make you laugh. She went out of her way to be kind to everyone and was always willing to help. She was a hard worker and would do anything you asked. She will be dearly missed. The cafeteria won’t be the same without her. 

Shirley was a classmate of mine.  Although I haven't seen her for many years, I remember Shirley as a very sweet and kind person.  Prayers for all the family during this difficult time.

So sad to hear of Shirley’s passing.  She was a good lady and fun to be around.  

I always loved visiting with Shirley.  She was an honest, caring person who loved people❤️  She was such a hard working lady and took pride in her work!   She will be missed by all who wired with her through her years at Roland Schools.  I pray for comfort for her family🙏🏻❤️😥

I made a wonderful friend during the time I worked with Shirley.  Every time we saw each other after that time, we had to stop and catch up on everything.  Shirley was such a sweet, caring, hard working lady.  Her presence will be greatly missed by everyone.  Continued prayers for her entire family.


Paula, I am so very sorry about Shirley. I haven't seen Shirley in so many years but, my memories of her from school she was one of the sweetest people you could ever meet. Just wanted you to know I am thinking of you & everyone that loved her. I know your Mother was there waiting for her with open arms.

Shirley was an incredibly sweet and generous lady. She loved her family, especially her grandbabies so much. She will be truly missed. My condolences and prayers for the family. 

Such a sweet lady. Shirley always let me know that she thought a lot of me. She had a way of making me feel special. She shared her love of Christ, her girls and her grandchildren whenever she could. We will miss her greatly at Roland Elementary.  Sending love and prayers to her family.

Shirley always treated me like I was a little sister when I was around. She had a sweet spirit and always talked about her love for the Lord. Rest now sweet  Shirley, Heaven gain another angel, tell your Mom hi and tell my Momma and Daddy we are doing ok.

My heart is broken for all of you. Shirley was a hard working lady and she loved her family.  She was such a sweet person and I enjoyed working with her.  As she would tell you she could work circles around any man at the school.  Praying for all of you. 

God sent his Angels down to get an Amazing Angel to join him in Heaven.  But for your family and friends it was way to early for you to leave them.  They are full of sorrow and pain, but know that God only chooses the best.

I hit the light pole by the Elementary Cafeteria a few years ago, Shirley came out to check on me and she gave me a hard time. Of course I wasn’t in the mood for it and then she told me that she had done the same thing and we both ended up getting a good laugh about it.
She apologized numerous times about giving me a hard time and I told her “not to worry about it”
We had so many good laughs and stories over the years at Roland
She was a wonderful lady and will be truly missed

Mrs. Hoover is survived by her husband, Kimmy Hoover; two daughters, Andrea Owens and husband, John of Muldrow and Amanda Shamblin and husband, Mark of Webbers Falls; two brothers, Mel Cahoon of Greenwood and Kelvin Cahoon and wife, Dana of Waldron; one sister, Paula Jones and husband, John of Greenwood; three grandsons, Kyle, Tristan and Mitchel and several nieces, nephews, cousins, family members and friends.
