Virginia Alice Burnett, 89, of Fort Smith, Arkansas passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2023 in Fort Smith. She was retired from Planters Peanut, member of Fort Smith First United Methodist Church where she participated in the Pacesetter’s Club, volunteered at Miss Laura’s Visitor Center and she enjoyed square dancing.
She is survived by one son, Paul Burnett and wife, Cindy of Muldrow, OK; one daughter, Taylor Storm of Barling; two brothers, Jerry Richardson of Tulsa and Kenneth Richardson of Slaytonville; two sisters, Peggy of Austin, TX and Anne of San Antonio, TX; three grandchildren, four great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, John Burnett and Delbert Anderson; her son, Lance Burnett; three brothers, Dale, Charles and Joe Richardson and two sisters, Barbara and Juanita.
Funeral service will be 2 p.m., Monday, July 3 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Slaytonville Cemetery. Viewing will be Sunday from 1- 7 p.m. at the funeral home, where the family will visit with friends from 5 – 7 p.m.
