William “Butch” King, Sr. passed away in his home on Saturday, June 20, 2020. He was born October 3, 1967 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was a loving father and a great friend that never failed to lend a listening ear or words of wisdom. He was a bit of a prankster that occasionally enjoyed instigating arguments for his own entertainment, but he was also kind, generous, and fiercely protective over those he loved. Though he did not have much, his home was always open to those in need, whether they needed a roof over their heads, food, or just a friendly visit. He will be missed by so many.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Donella Carraway and Walter King. He is survived by his brother, Joey King; nine children, William King, Jr., Jacqueline Gonzalez, Carl Hagy, Amber Fox, David Hagy, Shelby Stone, Joshua King, Charles King, and Tanya Lane; and twenty-one grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at Creekmore Park in Fort Smith.
