

Zelma Dugan Clark Morris of Midland, Arkansas graduated to eternal life Wednesday evening, January 18, 2012. Zelma was born May 9, 1931 at home in the Tyro Community. She was a graduate of Hartford High School. During her lifetime she was a waitress at Dummit’s Café in Hackett, Arkansas and was employed at Okla Homer Smith Furniture, DeSoto Company, and T J Smith Box factory in Fort Smith. Some of her happiest years were after retirement when she was once again a homemaker and could spend time taking care of her family and helping raise her grandchildren. She was a resident of Midland, Arkansas for many years and was a faithful member of Tyro Community Church all of her life. She had many, many friends. To her a stranger was just a friend she hadn’t met yet. But most of all she loved her family and was very family oriented. She took great pride in all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and their accomplishments. She always said she was blessed to have had two wonderful husbands. Zelma was preceded in death by her parents, Enoch and Gracie Dugan; her husbands, George Clark and Dempsey Morris; a son, Fred Clark; and a nephew, Matt Oliver. She now joins them and many other loved ones in the arms of Jesus.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m., Saturday, January 21, 2012 at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel in Greenwood with burial at Slaytonville Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Greg Clark, Brian Clark, Grant Solomon, Tyler Hudgens, Cameron Clark, Harold McKinney, Barry McKinney, Bill Dugan, Scott Dugan, Mark Oliver, and Jared Oliver.
She is survived by a daughter, Debbie Hudgens and husband, David, of Hartford, Arkansas; two sons, Bruce Clark and wife, Pam, of Greenwood, Arkansas and Roger Clark of Midland, Arkansas; a daughter-in-law, Debra Clark of Hackett, Arkansas, two sisters that she loved dearly, Louise McKinney and Shirley Oliver and husband, David, both of Sugarloaf Community; nine grandchildren, Greg Clark, Kristy Spruell, Amanda Price, Brian Clark, Grant Solomon, Kara Solomon, Tyler Hudgens, Hayley Clinton, and Cameron Clark; eight great grandchildren, William Spruell, Hannah and Eli Clark, Rileigh and Elija Solomon, Parker Price, Bail;ey Weimer, and Brooklyn Clinton, and a cousin that she cared for for many years, Wanda South of Greenwood, Arkansas. She also leaves behind a large extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law and her friends.
