

On October 3, 1939, Tony was born to Ivan and Ida Cutsforth in Salem, Oregon. He attended Oregon College of Education and as a talented athlete competed and ultimately was crowned state champion of his weight division in wrestling, a testament to his determination and competitive spirit.
He channeled this passion into a successful career as a biology teacher and wrestling coach at Sam Barlow High School where he was cherished by his students for his engaging teaching style and infectious sense of humor.
Tony later transitioned to a successful career as a financial advisor at American Express (Ameriprise) where he attained CFP and CFS status before retiring.
Tony is survived by his son Daren, his daughter Kimberly, Step-son Steve and one granddaughter, Amber. He is also remembered fondly by his brother Douglas, his sister Kelley, his Ex-wife Pat, as well as many nieces, nephews, former students, colleagues and friends.
Tony is preceded in death by his wife, Dolores, Step-son Brian, and his parents Ivan and Ida.
A Memorial Service to honor Tony's life and legacy will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025 at 11am at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home, 520 W Powell Blvd., Gresham, Oregon.
A luncheon reception will follow where friends and family are invited to share their stories and memories.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, a cause close to Tony's heart.
Tony lived with integrity, humility and deep love. His presence was a guiding light to many and his memory will forever be a blessing.
