He was the third of eight children.
He was raised on the island of Yap which he left at age 22. Yatman moved to Portland Oregon where he married Janell and raised their daughter Isis.
Yatman came from a large family and that’s what he valued most, while welcoming everyone he met with open arms. He enjoyed farming, camping, spending time outdoors and building random, incomplete, everything. Although he was strong-willed and stubborn, he was always willing to help. He loved to be sarcastic, play jokes and make you laugh. He was a fighter and he never gave up!
Yatman is survived by his father Faimaw, mother Guchulmow, daughter Isis, wife Janell, brothers Dennis, Steve, Augustine, Joe, Dalton Faimaw, Joe Yatman, sisters Laagrong, Muturwan, Carmen, Rosales Leemed, stepfather Steven Ken, and too many uncles, aunts, cousins, nephews and nieces to list.
While Yatman was taken to soon from our world, the mark that he left on each of us will never leave us. Yatman, until we meet again in heaven we will miss you and you will be remembered.
