Carol Anne Benson Lee

After a short illness, Carol Anne Benson Lee, age 73, born October 18, 1943, died peacefully surrounded by her husband and children as she went home to be with her Lord and Savior on, October 7, 2016.

Carol was born in Marquette, Michigan to Willard Benson and Matilda Golden Benson. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Chester Lee; son and daughter-in-law, Craig and Heather Lee of Portland; son Steven Lee of San Leandro, California, and daughter and son-in-law Christi and Rob Code of Lacey, Washington; three grandchildren, Amanda, Ryan, and Madison; and many family members. Carol is preceded in death by two infant children, her parents, and a sister.

The family wishes to thank Providence Medical Center in Portland for the kind, compassionate, and supportive care Carol received.

Carol was a devoted Catholic, you never questioned how she felt, her generous spirit and love was always evident. We carry her spark of love and compassion and aspire to share it as she did. It is our hope that her light will now shine for everyone.

We are so bless to have had her in our lives for many years. May we all find peace in her passing just to know that she is no longer in pain and that her labors are complete. Rest in peace; we will truly miss you.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00am on October 29, 2016 at

St. Henry’s church in Gresham.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to one of these charities, Wounded Warriors, Humane Society, or a local homeless teen shelter in Carol's name.
