Carol Ann Upton

Carol graduated from Immaculata Catholic High School and at 18-yesrs old, met the love of her life, Donald Upton. Not long after, she married her sailor on April 27th 1957. Don and Carol went on to have six children. Carol stayed at home to raise them until they were grown. Then, she went to work at Kaiser Sunnyside Hospital, where Don also worked, until she retired.

Carol and Don enjoyed traveling together and bought a trailer to extend their season of outdoor adventures. They eventually built a home in Rockaway Beach, Oregon and another in Yuma, Arizona. After Don passed, Carol continued her adventures with her daughters who ignited in her a love for cruising the world by sea.

Overtime, she more consistently split her time between Rockaway Beach and Portland with constant care and regular visits from her daughters. As Carol’s health declined, her children and grandchildren kept her happy at her home.

On Friday, March 14th, 2025, Carol passed away at the age of 86 years peacefully at her home in Portland surrounded by love. Carol is survived by her sister Eva Kovacevic and her six children, Julie Fleck, Lori Green, Teresa Fultz, Susie Tausher, Bob Upton, and Jean Upton. She is the Grandmother of 13, Great Grandmother of 16, and Great, Great Grandmother of one.
