Caroline passed away peacefully to join her husband in heaven. She was born in Clearfield South Dakota to Alvina and Albert Engelgau. She had five siblings. She was married to Henry Miller on October 14, 1950. Caroline was a homemaker, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. When Henry and she bought their own business, she was the book keeper. They moved to Gresham in 1991.
Survivors include her daughters Joli Ritchie (Norm) of Gresham OR and Janine Worthen (Kurt) of New Braunfels TX; grandchildren Brian Ritchie (Jennifer) of Boise ID, Daniel Ritchie (Darla) of Gresham OR, Jason Worthen (Barbara) of New Braunfels TX and Kristy Worthen of New Braunfels TX; great grandchildren Danny Worthen, Jason Worthen Jr, Heidi Ritchie, Victoria Worthen, Carissa Ritchie and Kaela Ritchie; sister Naomi Stewart of Portland OR; brother Herman Engelgau (Vi) of Clackamas OR; sister in-law Margie Stricker of Gresham OR and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: her husband who passed away February 12, 1997; sisters Mildred Wetz, Gertrude Behrens; and brother Albert Engelgau.
Viewing will be held from 9:00am to 5:00pm on Friday, July 27, 2012 at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home in Gresham, Oregon. A graveside service will be held at 11:00am on July 28th, 2012 at Forest Lawn Cemetery, 400 SW Walters Rd., Gresham, OR.
