

Gresham resident Clyde “Hap” Ewing Wood passed away on January 4, 2010. He was 65. A memorial service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, January 10 at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home 520 West Powell Boulevard Gresham, OR .
Hap was born January 23, 1945 in Portland, Oregon to Alton (Deceased 1990) and Gertrude (Farmer) Wood. He graduated from Reynolds High School in 1962. Hap worked as a pattern maker at Columbia Steel Foundry and retired a few years ago. He married Penny Krebsbach on September 25, 1978.
Hap was a very generous, giving, and a loving person. He was always happy, thus given the nickname “Hap” which was short for “Happy”. Hap was very friendly and never lost touch with any of his friends, including those from as far back as grade school. He enjoyed camping and fishing and even purchased an RV for annual camping trips with Penny and his good friends Ray and Bobby DeCamp.
Hap is survived by his wife, Penny Wood of Gresham, OR; son, Casey Wood of San Antonio, TX; wife’s sons Shawn Smith of Gresham, OR; and Mike Smith of Portland, OR; wife’s daughters, Tonilynn Gilham of Gresham, OR; and Gloria Fuzi of Umatilla, OR; sisters, Susan Cobb of Salem, OR; Judy Futch of Damascus, OR; Sherri Wood (Deceased 2010; brother, Rodger Wood (Deceased 2005); 14 Grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
