Danny Lee Chambers

Danny Lee Chambers, 79 of Portland OR, passed away on Friday, December 13, 2013. He was born on April 21, 1934 in Keokuk, Iowa to John and Cora Chambers. He attended Benson Polytechnic and served in the US Army from 1953 to 1955. He owned and operated Bradshaw’s Auto Service for many years and retired in January of 1997. He married Juanita Mae Kersten in 1978 and she preceded him in death on February 23, 2007. Danny enjoyed camping and time on the internet and loved time spent with family and his cat “Rusty”. He will always be remembered for his smile and his sense of humor.

Danny is survived by his companion Dorothy Fisher of Portland OR; sons Randy Chambers (Lori) of Puyallup WA, Keith Chambers (Angela) of Maple Valley WA and Cory Chambers (Kimberly) of Portland OR; daughters Karla Chambers of Portland OR and Linda Cummings (Mike) of Portland OR; stepsons Steven Narvasa (Tami) of Eatonville WA, Tony Narvasa (Rhonda) of Oregon City OR and Jack Wise of Graham WA; stepdaughters Anita McGinness (Gerald) of Gresham OR and Linda Narvasa of Portland OR; stepson-in-law Ronald Ceton of Phoenix AZ; sister Sue “Susie” Roth of Vancouver WA; seventeen grandchildren and twenty-five great grandchildren. In addition to his wife, Danny was preceded in death by his stepdaughter Susan Ceton in 1987.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 19th and Friday, December 20th from 10:00am to 5:00pm at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home, 520 W. Powell Blvd in Gresham, Oregon. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, December 21, 2013 at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home. Private interment at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, Oregon. Donations may be made to the Oregon Humane Society.
