

Today David Walton Kenaston is absent from family and friends but, his suffering is no more and he is present with his Lord and Savior. He took his last breath on Tuesday June 10th, 2025 but, his next was an eternal breath from a living God.
David was the last surviving sibling and the youngest of eight sisters and six brothers. He was born on December 30th, 1936 in Springview, Nebraska to Walton Orville Kenaston (born in Enterprise, NE) and Marguerite May Stover (born in Crab Orchard NE). His parents were married in Enterprise Township in Nebraska in 1913 and David will be buried wearing his father’s wedding shirt.
In his first years he was raised on the family homestead in Wewela, South Dakota close to Springview.
Walton and Marguerite eventually moved west to Hillsboro, where David graduated from HILHI in 1955.
David was preceded in death by his parents, siblings and wife.
He is now reunited with his parents, siblings and his beloved wife Alice "Elaine" Kenaston.
David is survived by his sons Ken A Kenaston (Caryn) of Vancouver, WA and David O Kenaston (Christine) of Bremerton, WA. and their mother David's former wife and dear friend Barbara A Tinius (Bill) of Vancouver, WA, his grandchildren Angie R McMillan (Matty) of Portland, OR, Natali D McCauley (LJ) of Grand Rapids MI, and Jacob R Kenaston (Jessie) of Des Moines IA, and five great grandsons Koda, Elias, Jaxon, Dezi and Micah with two more grandchildren arriving this year.
David was a maintenance man for Airco in Vancouver for many years where he formed many lifelong friendships. After retirement David built a home in Hazel Dell which he enjoyed for several years and eventually began wintering in Salome, AZ where he met Elaine and they were married on a golf course. David loved golf, loved his family, and loved the Lord.

A visitation for David will be held Wednesday, June 18, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and A Celebration of David's Life will occur Thursday, June 19, 2025 at 1:00 PM with reception to follow at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home, 520 W Powell Blvd, Gresham, OR 97030. Private interment will be at Northwood Park Cemetery in Ridgefield, Washington.
