Diana Elizabeth Whitmore

Diana Elizabeth Whitmore went to be with Jesus on July 24th. She passed away peacefully at home after losing a 33 month battle with glioblastoma brain cancer. Her smile and energy will be missed by all who knew her.

Diana was born to James and Patricia Murrell in Portland, Oregon. She attended Cherry Park grade school, David Douglas high school and Mt. Hood Community college. Diana worked in her father’s business for a number of years and in the early 1980’s obtained her Oregon real estate license. She was a successful Realtor in the Portland area for 25 years.

Diana loved the Oregon coast, skiing in her younger years, shopping, decorating, traveling, dining out and Disneyland. She had volunteered at her church and especially liked working in the nursery.

She enjoyed her home on the Columbia River and entertaining on the holidays along with activities such as riding her sea doo and kayaking. Diana also enjoyed her winter home in Palm Desert California along with the social activities and golf at Palm Valley Country club. She always looked forward to spending time with her friends in the desert.

Diana is survived by her husband Jack and also her three sons Brian Price, Steve Price and Eric Price. She is also survived by step daughters Robin Pederson, Kristina McGinnis, Joanna Whitmore, 11 grandchildren, one great granddaughter and two siblings.

A Celebration of Diana’s Life will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home, 520 W. Powell Blvd in Gresham, Oregon. Private interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Gresham, Oregon. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made as donations to OHSU Knight Cancer Institute to help find cancer cures at OHSU Foundation, Mail Stop 45, PO Box 4000, Portland OR 97208.
