Donna Leora Harris

Donna Leora Abelsen Harris, 88, of Portland, passed away on January 15, 2017. Donna was born in Seattle, Washington and was raised in Portland, by her parents Carl and Mildred (Utterback) Nelson. Donna was a graduate from Jefferson High School in North Portland. During her childhood, Donna picked up baton twirling and bowling. Professional Donna worked as a service contract manager for Montgomery Ward for 10 years. She retired from the real estate industry after 20years. Donna enjoyed her privacy and alone time and cherished the moments shared with her family.

Nurturing, present, available, respectful advocate and supporter are just a few of the many words used to describe Donna and the seeds she planted and cultivated close to her. Donna enjoyed vacations to the beach, family gatherings, playing video games with the grandchildren, sewing, knitting and crocheting when she was able. Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Harris, back in 1988 and she never remarried. She is survived by her children, Martin, Ardyth, Sherri, David, Anita and Carla; 16 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Donna will be laid to rest at Lincoln Memorial Park and Funeral Home with her husband, Keith Harris.
