

Donna was born in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. She was the 10th child of Vernon and Zelma Jewell Hennings. She lived in Sioux Falls until after high school graduation and then promptly moved to Portland, Oregon, 4 of her siblings were there and later her mother would follow.
Donna’s sisters Jean and Darlene, and brothers Eddie and Bill, were close and played cards together. She met her husband, Gerald “Jerry”, one night while out dancing and they married 3 months later. They had 4 children: Dan, Craig, Scott and Tami. Donna was a wonderful mother and volunteered as Den Mother and Brownie Leader for her children.
Donna loved crafting and was a fantastic seamstress. Her passion for dancing lead to square dancing in the 70’s, then to her and Jerry forming the Rose City Boot Scooters with friends in the 80’s.
Donna raised her four children in Milwaukie, Oregon and lived there until she retired from North Pacific Lumber Co. in 1992. Donna and Jerry moved to their property in Prineville where they spent most of their family time with their children water skiing and camping. Donna loved her grandson Aaron dearly, she was an amazing grandmother.
Donna is survived by her children: Daniel, Craig, Scott and Tami; and her grandson Aaron. She is preceded in death by her siblings: Harold, Floss, Jean, LeRoyal, Ray, Eddie, Darlene, Bill, and Maynard.
