

Nancy was born on October 25, 1939 in Salt Lake City, Utah and was the daughter of Kenneth and Doris (Kroll) Hadley. She grew up in Portland, Oregon where she graduated from Holy Child Academy. She later studied English at Willamette University and completed her Associate’s Degree at Mt. Hood Community College.
In 1964, Nancy married Norman Gamble in Portland, Oregon. They were later divorced. She moved to Gresham in 1976 and worked as an Administrative Secretary for Mt. Hood Community College for 25 years, retiring in 1999.
Nancy was also a professional volunteer dedicating her time to the Gresham Art Committee, Soroptimist and Visiting Voices. She also recorded text books for Blind Students at Mt. Hood Community College, proctored tests and knitted dolls for underprivileged children in other countries. Nancy was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church in Gresham.
She had many hobbies including knitting, crocheting and reading. She also adored animals, especially her dog, Peaches. Family was very important to her and her calling in life was to take care of others. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Nancy is survived by her daughter, Kristin (husband, Glenn) White of Gresham and her two grandsons, Joseph and Andrew White.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2011 at 11:00 am at St. Henry Catholic Church in Gresham. Recitation of the Rosary will be on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 7:00 pm at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Nancy to My Sister’s House.
