Dorothy Louise Robbins

On Friday, September 3rd, 2021 Dorothy (Peg) Robbins died of Alzheimer’s in Gresham, OR at the age of 93.

Dorothy is survived by her two son’s Paul and Joseph. She leaves behind several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Hilda O’Neil, her four brothers Ed, Gene, Ray and Jack, her 1st husband “CAP” and 2nd husband “Bill”, stepson Frank and granddaughter Rebecca.

Dorothy was born on November 16, 1927 in St. Johns, Oregon. Her family migrated to Bonneville, Oregon, in the 1930’s where she graduated from Bonneville High School and was a Basketball star!

Dorothy married Carroll Allan Paine (CAP) on November 12, 1949 in Hood River, Oregon. They welcomed a son Paul in 1954 and adopted their second son Joseph in 1960. Dorothy was a devout Catholic. She loved genealogy and enjoyed travelling to find her family roots. She held several jobs but was also a selfless homemaker who gave of herself always and was a most loving mother to her 2 sons and a grandmother to 6 grandchildren.

Dorothy married her second husband William Robbins, JR on September 16th, 2000. She was a step-mother to 8 adult children Frank, Mary, Ruth, Eileen, Kathleen, William, Ann and John and had 18 step grandchildren and multiple great grandchildren from both marriages.

There will be a small gravesite service for immediate family members only due to COVID. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association.
