

Dana, as lovingly known, passed away on November 2, 2024, at his home in Portland, under hospice care. He was born in Centralia, Washington on August 7, 1945 to Kenneth Laurel Bartley and Marian Tehresa Greear. He was the youngest of 4 brothers.
Dana was a man of many talents and passions. He graduated from Sandy High School in 1963 before serving his country in the Navy. He then pursued a successful career as a mechanic for Freightliner Corporation. He was known for his dedication to his work. Outside of work, Dana loved traveling and exploring new places, finding solace in fishing and losing himself in the world of movies and magazines. He loved building homes that showcased his project management skills and craftsmanship. Dana’s generosity knew no bounds, as he made contributions to various charitable causes over the years.
Those who knew Dana well, remember him as strong-willed with a wicked sense of humor. His determination and focus were inspiring to all who crossed paths with him. Dana cherished his past connections he made along the way, including his childhood friend, Rick Morell. He is survived by his devoted wife Magnolia, beloved daughter Rochelle and his brother Jim.
As we bid farewell to Dana, may his legacy of hard work, generosity, and resilience live in our hearts forever. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered. Rest in peace, Dana.
