Farideh Tatarian was born December 4, 1947, in Beirut, Lebanon. She was one of four daughters of Zakia Kahwaji. She met and married the love of her life, Sarkis Tatarian. Later immigrated to the United States in 1974 and raised three boys. Sarkis passed away in 1985. Farideh raised her boys alone with the help of family and was a loving devoted mother. She was always willing to help anyone and always had an open table to feed anyone who wanted a meal.
Farideh was a devoted daughter of Christ and always involved in her Syriac Orthodox Church of Antioch. She volunteered many hours helping her church community.
She is proceeded in death by her husband Sarkis, mother Zakia, father Ibrahim, and sister Loris. She is survived by her sons, Jack (daughter in law Johanna), Robert, and George, sisters Jackie and Samira, and grandchildren Samuel, Isaiah, and Satapat. In addition, several nieces and nephews.
A visitation for Farideh will be held Friday, June 30, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM and funeral services will occur Saturday, July 1, 2023 at 1:30 PM at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home in Gresham, Oregon. A graveside service will occur Saturday, July 1, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Lincoln Memorial Park Cemetery in Portland, Oregon.
