George Anthony Young

George graduated from Parkrose High School in 1958 and remained active with his classmates on a regular basis.

George married Joyce Rosebrook in 1966 in Welches, Oregon.

George a longtime Portland resident before moving to Battleground, WA 9 years ago. He was a member of New Heights Church in Battleground. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge in Battleground and a member of the boilermakers Union, local 72.

George enjoyed playing the violin, singing, playing golf, and spending time with his family.

George is survived by his loving wife Joyce, of Battleground, WA., daughter Sherri Franke and her husband Keith, of Woodland, WA., and three grandchildren, Dillon Franke, Vanessa Franke, and Chantale Ahrendt. George was preceded in death by daughter Jodi Young.

Funeral service will be on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home located at 520 W. Powell Blvd. in Gresham, Oregon. Private entombment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Gresham, Oregon.
