

Born Gloria Jean Lane on November 10, 1957, she was the daughter of William Lane and Marilyn (Bartley) Lane. Gloria married the love of her life Cody Straub on July 27, 1985, and they remained together for the nearly 40 years until her passing.
Gloria attended Sam Barlow High School in Gresham and graduated in 1976. She went on to join the United States Air Force, where she worked as a medical clerk. Later, she would use these skills to transition into work with Kaiser Permanente.
In her free time, Gloria loved reading all sorts of novels. She especially loved anything relating to mysteries, like harlequin or spy thrillers. She also loved to garden and grew flowers for many years. Recently, she had also begun growing vegetables in her and Cody’s garden too.
Gloria was a very loving person and a devoted mother to her children. She cherished their beloved dogs they kept over the years, as well as their birds Gizmo and Beemer. The legacy of love she leaves will be felt by many.
Preceding Gloria in death were her parents, William and Marilyn Lane, and several uncles.
Gloria is survived by her husband, Cody Straub; son, Matthew Straub; daughter, Shana Lane; sisters, Debbie White and Rose Lane; niece, Tiffany Brower; nephew, Doug Prentiss; and her dog, Dakota.
Gloria will be cremated and laid to rest at Willamette National Cemetery in Happy Valley, Oregon.
