

Grace being a homemaker through the Great Depression – Care giver -World War II - Wife - Mother with her talents of making clothes from flower sacks – canning, freezing food, and her enjoyment of crocheting. Grace and her dad were always there for the fund raisers (selling donuts and Christmas Cards) and making sure that her two sons, Jim and Alvin had a ride home from scouting campouts.
Grace and her husband Alvin were married for 74 years and did a lot of traveling in the USA with their Cave Man Camper and Burnt Orange Pickup – from the Pacific Northwest to the
Space grounds in Florida –Presidents on the Mountain, hunting with family in the Blue Mountains to clamming and fishing for many years in Long Beach and Westport areas. It was hard to keep track of them during their years of retirement. Her husband Alvin died in 2011.
Grace is survived by her two sons, Alvin James (Jim) and Jerry LeRoy Sheller, her grandchildren, Gregory David, Jeffery James, Kristi Lynn Sheller and her step-Grandchild Terri (Shambow) Grow; her great-grandchildren, Garrett James, Jordan Gregory, Kyle Robert Sheller, and step great Grandchildren Kelly, Megan and Ryan Grow and many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Aril 25, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home located at 520 W. Powell Blvd. in Gresham, Oregon. Private interment will be at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.
