Ina E. Davis

Ina was born on August 16, 1917 in Emmett, Idaho and was the daughter of Albin and Anna (Anderson) Quist. She grew up in Coeur D’Alene, Idaho where she graduated from high school.

On August 6, 1938, she married Walter Davis in Coeur D’Alene and in 1947 they moved to Parkdale and later to Hood River where Ina worked as a seasonal sales clerk. In 1956 they moved to Portland.

Ina was a member of the Baptist Church and enjoyed the piano, sewing, knitting, crocheting and embroidering. She also enjoyed, cooking and baking cookies and cakes, all with a Swedish influence.

She is survived by her daughter, Marina Slaton of Boring and granddaughter, Christie Zgourides of Texas. Her husband, Walter and sister, Alice both preceded her in death.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at 11:00 am at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Gresham. A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 from 1 -5 pm at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home. Contributions may be made in memory of Ina to Oregon Public Broadcasting (OPB) or the Audubon Society. Bateman Carroll Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
