John Christopher McKnight

John is survived by his son Brandon McKnight of Troutdale, OR; father and stepmother Robert and Nancy McKnight of Lincoln City, OR; brothers Bob McKnight, Aaron McKnight, Brian McKnight, Timothy McKnight and Kristian Keys and their respective spouses of Oregon and Washington states; four nieces and eight nephews. He is preceded in death by his mother Karen Cooper of Portland, OR.

John was born on September 7, 1970 in Portland, OR to Robert McKnight and Karen Cooper. He graduated from Canby High School in 1988, enlisted in the US Army in 1990 serving 2.5 years, received his Real Estate certification from Clackamas Community College in 1995, and attended Spartan School of Aeronautics of Tulsa, OK in 1996 and 1997.

In 1998, John had his first and only child, Brandon McKnight, with Theresa Sande [Hansen] and later married Rhonda McKnight in 2008.

In the early 2010’s, John moved to Boise, ID and later to Surprise, AZ to embark on his real estate career.

John was a devoted father and had a passion for real estate and flying. In the recent years, John also grew in his faith and gave his life to God.

A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, March 16, 2019, 10:00 am at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home in Gresham, OR with a reception at Bumpers Bar & Grill in Fairview, OR to follow.
