Kieko was born on September 15, 1926 in Tokyo, Japan and was the dauhter of Ichiro and Tae (Ito) Kitajima. She grew up in Japan and Imigrated to the United States where she resided in Los Angeles, CA for many years and moved to Portland where she was cared for by her niece, Julie. She married George Knowloton who later preceded her in death.
Kieko is survived by her niece, Julie and her family of Portland.
A celebration of Kieko's life will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at 10:00 am at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home in Gresham, Oregon.
