Born December 12, 1943 in Gresham, Oregon, she was the youngest of three children born to Jesse Edmund and Freda Viola Logan Fisher. She was formerly married to Milton Crane with whom she had two children, Robin, and David. After her marital separation, and due to physical limitations she endured her whole life, Linda’s brother Eldon and his wife Del adopted the children at ages six and five and raised them in their home in Western New York State.
As a young girl, Linda moved to Portland, Oregon along with her mother, brother, and sister in the 1940’s. Despite several handicaps, she enjoyed hobbies such as playing the piano and sewing. She eventually moved to California and established a janitorial service which she operated for several years. In later years she moved back to Oregon where she worked for a time as a motel maid. When she needed more daily care, she went to live with her son David in Spokane until her passing.
She leaves behind her daughter and son, Robin (David) Anderson of Boulder, CA, and David Fisher of Spokane; a grandson Jeremy (Tricia Moore) Fisher of Olean, NY, and a newborn great granddaughter Harlow Ann Fisher. She also leaves behind a brother J. Eldon Fisher of Allegany, NY, and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her sister Yvonne Smith of California.
Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery in Gresham, Oregon with a private graveside ceremony being scheduled for this upcoming summer.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to an organization of the donor’s choice which serves the deaf.
