Lloyd W. Fowler

Lloyd Wayne Fowler, 73 of Gresham OR, passed away on Monday, June 20, 2011. He was born on August 24, 1937 in Jefferson, Texas to Lloyd J. and Grace E. (Lisle) Fowler. He graduated from Grants Pass High School in 1955 and received his Bachelor’s from the University of Portland in 1964. He also served in the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1960. He married Joanne Shell in 1967 in Portland, Oregon. He enjoyed fishing and camping and attending the many sporting events of his children and grandchildren over the years.

He is survived by his wife Joanne Fowler of Gresham OR; daughters Kimberly Leatherman of Gresham OR and Holly Day and her husband Brad Day of Portland OR; son Brian Fowler of Nipomo CA; brothers Robert Fowler of Tigard OR and Mark Fowler of Hillsboro OR; sister Evelyn Wooten of Garibaldi OR; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his grandson Bradley Leatherman in 2010.

Memorial Services will be held at 11:00am on Friday, July 15, 2011 at the Eastmoreland Golf Club, 2425 SE Bybee Blvd, Portland OR 97202. Contributions may be made to the Salvation Army. Arrangements entrusted to Bateman Carroll Funeral Home in Gresham, Oregon.
