Marguerite Elizabeth Wilson, a resident of East County, died on March 29, 2010 in Portland. She was 56 years of age.
Marguerite was born on September 5, 1953 in Riverside, CA and was the daughter of Alvan and Henrietta (George) Brubacher. She graduated from High School in Riverside, California and many years later attended the Portland Art Institute.
Marguerite resided in California for a while. She moved to Medford, Oregon in the early 1980’s and in 1987, she married John A. Wilson at the Salvation Army Center in Medford. In 1990 they moved to the East County Area where she worked as a telemarketer for a while. She also volunteered as a bell ringer for the Salvation Army.
Marguerite had many pastimes and hobbies. She was an avid reader and enjoyed visiting the library and participating in her internet book club and paperback book swap. She was talented in painting and crocheting and also enjoyed gardening.
Marguerite is survived by her husband, John Wilson of Portland.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 10, 2010 at 1:00 pm at the Rocky Butte Chapel of City Bible Church in Portland, Oregon. Contributions may be made in memory of Marguerite to City Bible Church. Bateman Carroll Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
