Otto Laney Foster, Sr. graciously ended his long battle with Parkinson’s Disease on January 19th, 2013. He passed peacefully in the comfort of his own home surrounded by his loving family. Otto was born on February 16, 1939 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years – Sally Foster, his 3 beautiful children – Kim Mendenz (Panfilo), Kerrie Wait (Monte), and Otto Laney Foster, Jr. (Becky), as well as many grand and great grandchildren. Otto was preceded in death by his son Todd who passed as a child. Otto spent 2 active and 4 reserve years in the US Navy & worked at Lockheed Shipyards before starting his own construction business, retiring when he was 65. He had a love for travel spending many years discovering the US via motorhome with his wife. He will be dearly missed. Graveside service will be on Monday, January 28th at 1 pm at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland with a reception following the cemetery service at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home in Gresham. Viewing will be on Friday, Jan. 25th from 10am to 5 pm and on Monday, Jan. 28th from 10am-12 pm at the funeral home.
