Richard Anthony Greene

Richard was raised and received his education in the Forest Grove/Verboort area. He lived in Verboort, Forest Grove, Portland, Boring, Gresham, and Estacada.

After spending time in the Merchant Marines, he co-owned a gas station and then owned a logging truck company for many years, until his retirement.

Richard married Clara Camron on November 15, 2006 in Stevenson, Washington at Skamania Lodge.

Richard had a colorful personality and he was a sports fan, and especially enjoyed watching baseball games. He was also a lifelong member of the Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Donalee Greene and Dorothy Sherratt and a brother Alan Greene. Survivors include his wife Clara of Gresham, OR., son, Richard Greene, Jr. and his wife Ann, of Long Beach, WA., daughter,

Lori Chase Haack and her husband Jay Haack of Hillsboro, OR., brother Ellis “Bud” Greene of Hillsboro, OR., and sister Judy Walker of Estacada, OR.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 11, 2010 at 11:00 am at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Saturday from10 am -4 pm also at Bateman Carroll. Interment will be at Forest Lawn Cemetery. Donations may be given to the American Diabetes Association.
