Richard "Dick" Murray

Richard Joseph “Dick” Murray Jr, 68 of Boring OR, passed away on Wednesday, January 1, 2025. He was born on February 29, 1956 in Portland, Oregon to Dick and Doyce Murray and graduated from Sandy High School in 1973. Dick was a meat cutter for over 35 years with the meatcutter's local union 555 before his retirement in 2008. Dick went on to transport RV’s and drive the customer shuttle at Johnson RV for the next 15 years where he was a valued member of the team. Dick married Julia Ann on November 10, 2001 in Boring, Oregon. He enjoyed fishing, crabbing, golf and bowling and was an avid football fan of the Green Bay Packers and the Oregon Ducks. Dick loved traveling.

Dick is survived by his wife Julia Murray of Boring OR; son Robert Murray (Anna) of Beavercreek OR; sister Bobbie Kaye Danielson (Dick) of Las Vegas NV and eight grandchildren.

A Celebration of Dick’s Life will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, February 1st, at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home, 520 W Powell Blvd in Gresham, Oregon.

The family has extended an invitation to join for a gathering of light refreshments at Bumpers grill & bar following the service from 12:30-3pm. 21935 NE Halsey St #100, Fairview, OR 97024.
