

Bob was born September 10, 1924 in Portland, Oregon to Edwin and Alice (Birdsall) Pomeroy. He graduated from Franklin High School in 1944. Bob married Beverly Scribner on July 30, 1944. They were married for 66 years. Bob enlisted in the United States Navy and served through October of 1945. After his service in the Navy, he worked for Pacific Northwest Bell Telephone Company for 35 years.
Bob loved woodworking. He built bookends, doorstops and whirlybirds. He had a beautiful voice and sang in the Hope Presbyterian Church choir and later in the Sandy Presbyterian Church choir. He was very musical and played washboard and kazoo with a “Mountain Man” music group in Sandy. They performed at the Sandy Mountain Festival. Bob had a marvelous sense of humor and was always teasing and having fun with people. He was known for giving lots of hugs and he loved children.
Bob is survived by his wife, Beverly of Gresham, OR; son, Ronald Pomeroy of Canby, OR; grandson, Mark Pomeroy and great-grandson Nate Pomeroy.
