Ronald Lee Heffler

Ronald Lee Heffler, 71 of Gresham OR, passed away on Friday, August 19, 2022. He was born on August 21, 1950 in Portland, Oregon to James and Rachael Heffler. He was a 1968 graduate of Madison High School and married Jane Ann Young on April 3, 1970 in Portland, Oregon. For 15 years Ron worked as a railcar carman for Union Pacific Railroad followed by 35 years in sales at Oregon Auto Springs.

As a dedicated family man, Ron was a multigenerational soccer coach for his children to his grandchildren and was an avid Timbers fan. He enjoyed woodworking and was a jack of all trades – commonly referred to as the man who could fix anything.

Ron is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jane Heffler of Gresham OR; sons Jason Heffler and Scott Heffler both of Gresham OR; daughter Brooke Gaskin (Jeremy) of Gresham OR and grandchildren Urban, Wyatt, Raegan, Cameron, Mia, Reese, Addison and Maddox. Ron was preceded in death by his son Brent Heffler in 2018.

A Celebration of Ron’s Life will be held at 1:00pm on Sunday, September 25, 2022 at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home, 520 W Powell Blvd in Gresham, Oregon. A reception will follow from 2:00-6:00 at the Gresham Elks Lodge, 3330 NE Division, Gresham, OR 97030. Private interment will take place at Gethsemani Cemetery in Clackamas, Oregon.
