Ruth L. Stanley

Ruth was a graduate of Gresham Union High School. On June 29, 1941 she married Merrill R. Stanley. Merrill preceded her in death in 1997.

Ruth was a member of the Pleasant Home United Methodist Church. She was also a member of Eastern Star and the Daughters of the Nile Organizations.

Ruth enjoyed gardening, celebrating all of her family member milestones, reading, and loved her German Shepherd dogs.

Ruth is survived by her five children, Merrill G. Stanley, Mundelein, Ill., James D. Stanley, Gresham, OR., Donna M. McMurry, Yacolt, WA., Diane K. Guest,

Mulino, OR., and Larry R. Stanley, of Boring, OR., 13 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be on Saturday, August 12th at 10:00 a.m. at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home located at 520 W. Powell Blvd. in Gresham. Graveside service will be on Monday, August 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Gresham.

Donations may be given to Shriners Children’s Hospital or to March of Dimes.
