Stauffer was born in Portland Oregon in 1974 with a purpose in his life. Stauffer was a dedicated boy scout and soon to be an Army Veteran. He knew from a young age his purpose in life was to be a Father and have a loving family.
After graduating high school he met the love of his life in the military in October 1992, Patricia Castonon. This beautiful woman was soon to be the mother of his children as he loved her so much and loved her kids that he did not hesitate to sign adoption paperwork for Sherrika. A few years later his daughter Kelcey Stauffer and son Patrick Stauffer were born in Fort Sill Oklahoma. As a Father, Stauffer poured his heart and soul to raise his children, providing them with love, care and spoiled them rotten.
His work ethic was strong to be able to provide for his family as he took on a position at the US Postal Service as a mail carrier. He worked there for 26 years and spoke on how he loved to bring smiles to his community. Stauffer's humor was unmatched as he would make a whole room burst out laughing at his jokes and references. His humor was infectious but mostly his love for his family was felt beyond the four walls of our home. With love so strong that his son also met the love of his life Delaney Lewis and married in 2024, hoping to start a family of their own.
With all of his children having grown, Stauffer was starting to feel the effects of having an empty home until the miraculous news that his eldest daughter was going to have a baby girl. His love of family was renewed with the birth of his first grandchild and soon to be his second grandchild.
His legacy will live on through the hearts and humor of the Family he worked so hard for.
May he find comfort, peaceful transition, ancestral reunion, and the natural cycle of death and rebirth, often invoked through the Goddess and Lord.
A public Celebration of Life for Stauffer will be held on Monday, February 16, 2026, from 1:30pm - 3:30pm at the Japanese Gardens located at Main City Park in downtown Gresham.
