

Constant nurturer, enjoyed life, selfless and very aware of the needs of others are just a few of the many words used to describe Sheila Taylor of Fairview. Sheila was born in Portland to Kenneth and Anna Pierce and was raised with two siblings, Lolita and Charles. Sheila graduated from Portland Christian High School and took a few courses at Warner Pacific College. She married her life partner, Donald Taylor III, and together they raised two children, Angie and Andrew. Professionally, Sheila served as a secretary at Park Lane Elementary and was a passionate supporter of the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. She enjoyed creating scrap books, gardening, reading, attending parades, miniature golf, playing card and dice games. She also enjoyed trips to the coast and loved watching the sun set. Sheila was known for capturing memories through pictures she would take with her digital camera. Sheila Taylor, 70, passed away on September 26, 2016. She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Anna. She is survived by her husband, Donald; children, Angie of Fairview and Andrew of Gresham; sister, Lolita Swing of Beaverton and brother, Charles Pierce of Amity. A funeral service will be held on October 3 at 11am at Bateman Carroll Funeral Home. She will be laid to rest in Willamette National Cemetery.
