Terry Fitch

Terence Fitch, 77, passed away at his home in Gresham, OR on July 31, 2012. He was born on February 10, 1935 in Mohall, North Dakota to parents George and Judith Fitch. He lived there until the age of 15, when he moved to Oregon. Terry graduated from Woodburn High School in 1952.

Terry was an extremely active member of the Gresham community. He was involved with the Rockwood Rotary Club, Gresham YMCA, Gresham Downtown Development Committee, The Special Olympics Meet of Champions at Centennial High School, Portland Homebuilder’s Association, and was named Realtor of the Year in 1996. Terry also served as an ombudsman for five years.

In his spare time, Terry loved to golf. He was a member of the Pleasant Valley Golf Course, and later the Persimmon Country Club Golf Course. He made sure to buy all of his grandsons golf clubs so they too could enjoy it. He also liked flying planes, boating, and water skiing. In 1978 he married Rosalie. They shared just over 34 wonderful years of marriage.

Terry is survived by his loving wife, Rosalie; children Jeff Fitch of Troutdale, OR, Kris Shuler of Sandy, OR, Tara Fitch of Tucson, AZ, and Ron Mulkey of Elsie, OR; 10 grandchildren; and 9 great-grandchildren.
