Mr. Daniel Boone Melton

Mr. Melton was born September 16, 1931 to the late Perry & Mae Sawyer Melton. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Beverly Melton; son, Robin C. Melton and several brothers and sisters.

Mr. Melton was an outstanding man, a wonderful husband, a great father and an amazing grandfather. He was exceptionally smart and worked for FEMA as Head Man for 20+ years helping other people. He retired in 1995 and spent the remainder of his time with his grandchildren that he loved dearly. He has taught everyone so much. He was well respected, a very great, wonderful man with a loving heart that could fix anything that was broken.

Survivors include daughter & son-in-law, Lilly A. & Carl Gober, Sr. of Forest Park; grandchildren, Sarah Melton, Carl Gober, Jr. and James Gober; great-grandchildren, Michael, Antuanna, Marcella, Halie, Amber and Nathan and niece, Lynn Swann.

Memorial services for Mr. Daniel Boone Melton will be held Monday, February 18, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Rev. Franklin Gibson will officiate. Friends may visit the family 1 hour prior to the service.
