Dexel Sparrow

Mr. Sparrow was born May 9, 1924 in Kinston, N.C. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Dexel Sparrow. Mr. Sparrow was retired from D & M Contracting and was a member of the Wildwood Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wives, Bernice Massey Sparrow and Virginia Massey Sparrow.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Rebecca and Rod Dudgeon; sons and daughter –in-law, Fredrick and Deborah Sparrow and Tommy Sparrow; 9 grandchildren; 32 great grand children, 4 great- great grandchildren, and his sister, Lois.

Funeral services for Mr. Dexel Alton Sparrow will be held on Monday, February 14, 2011 at 11:00 AM from the sanctuary of the Wildwood Baptist Church. Rev. Mark James will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Friends may visit the family on Sunday, February 13, 2011 from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.
