Dorothy Helen Keebler

Mrs. Dorothy Helen Keebler, age 80 of Griffin, GA, passed away Friday, November 21, 2014 at Brightmoor Nursing Center. Mrs. Keebler was born May 8, 1934 in Porterdale, GA, daughter of the late Morris Edward and Viola Blankenship Hamlin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Keebler; son, Terry Tant and grandson, Terry Jones. Mrs. Keebler enjoyed crocheting and was a member of East Griffin Baptist Church, where she volunteered in the Clothes’ Closet. She loved spending time with her family and her beloved dogs. Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, Roger and Connie Tant of Porterdale, GA, Danny Tant of Barnesville, GA; daughter, Rachel Evans of Griffin, GA; grandchildren, Rickey Tant of Barnesville, GA, Jeremiah Tant of Barnesville, GA, Krystal Mallory and husband Tom of Griffin, GA, Ray “Chip”Jones of Gainesville, GA; 9 great- grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; step-daughter, Jan Knowles of Conyers, GA; step-son, Kenneth Keebler of North Carolina; daughter-in-law, Ginger Tant of Barnesville, GA. Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 24, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at East Griffin Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit the family from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Monday, November 24, 2014 at Haisten McCullough Funeral Home.
