Mr. Ellis was born September 04, 1921 in Griffin. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church and a WWII veteran of the U.S. Army. Mr. Ellis is preceded in death by his parents, Elijah and Bessie Cox Ellis and wife, Zelma Carter Ellis.
Survivors include his son, Ronald Martin Ellis of Griffin; daughter, Patricia Adams of Conyers; grandchildren, Timothy Martin Ellis, Mark Andrew Ellis, Stacy Ellis Suarez, Ronald Keith Ellis, Johnny Ballard, Michelle Ballard and 6 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mr. Dravland Martin “Joe” Ellis will be held Monday, November 17, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Dr. Keith Wesley will officiate. Interment will follow in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may visit the family 2 hours prior to the service.
