Rev. George W. Phillips

Rev. Phillips was born October 24, 1920 in Griffin, son of the late Grady Phillips and the late Myrtle Tanksley Phillps. He was a member of the Milner Baptist Church. Rev. Phillips was a retired minister and pastored several churches including Orchard Hill Baptist, Rocky Creek Baptist, Maynard Baptist, and East Juliett Baptist. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lector ( Sally ) Allen Phillips and son, Freddie G. Phillips.

Survivors include his children & thier spouses, Steve Phillips & Abby Hirsch Phillips, Tony Phillips & Bill Gilliam; grandchildren, April Culp, Amy Parker, Andrew Phillips, Jesse Phillips, and Jeffery Phillips; step-grandchildren, Jason Price and Talia Price; great-grandchidren, Hilly Culp, Jannie Parker and Gracie Parker and daughter-in-law, Cathy Whilley.

Funeral servicces for Rev. George W. Phillips will be held Saturday, April 4, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Haisten McCuloough Funeral Home. Rev. Franklin Gibson will officiate. Burial will follow in MIlner Baptist Church Cemeery. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, April 3, 2015 from 6-8 PM at the funeral Home.
