Mr. Gerald "Jerry" Eugene McKenzie

Mr. McKenzie was born October 19, 1943 in Savannah, son of the late Francis Irvin McKenzie and the late Lillian McKenzie Lee. He was owner of Spalding Shoe Repair & Saddlery and former Police Officer in Detroit, MI.

Survivors include his wife, Susie McKenzie of Milner; sons, Jon McKenzie of Griffin, Shane Matthews of Orlando, FL, Chad Matthews of Pike County and Jim McKenzie; sisters, Susan Tapp of Cumming, Sharon Atkinson of Lawrenceville and Jennifer Strawn of McDonough; brothers, Robert Lee of Norcross, Ronnie McKenzie of Columbus, Gary Lee of McDonough, and Jeff McKenzie of McDonough; grandchildren, Alexis, Skyler, Lane, Jordis and Kari.

Funeral services for Mr. Jerry McKenzie will be held Thursday, June 17, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Brother Gary Lee will officiate. Interment will follow in the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville at 2:30 p.m. Friends may visit the family on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
