Mr. Jack B. Adams Sr.

Mr. Adams was born May 23, 1927 son of the late John Charles Adams and the late Nannie Victoria Lyon Adams. He was a member of Griffin First Baptist Church and a veteran of the Merchant Marines. Mr. Adams was retired business owner in Griffin. He was preceded in death by his son, Jack B. Adams, Jr.

Survivors include his wife, Gaye C. Adams of Griffin; daughters & son-in-law, Lana Adams Jones of Peachtree City, Nancy & John Buchanan of Greeneville, TN; grandchildren, Ashley & Brian Taylor of Griffin, Kemp & Rachel Buchanan of Gainesville, FL, Ansley & Cary Goen of Griffin, Jack B. Adams, III of Griffin, Brandon N. & Gui Young Adams of Seoul, South Korea, Amanda & Chad Taylor of Mt. Pleasant, S.C., Karen Brooke Adams of Atlanta and 8 great-grandchildren. Several nieces & nephews also survive.

Funeral services for Mr. Jack Boulger Adams, Sr. will be held Saturday, December 22, 2012, at 3:00 p.m. at the Griffin First Baptist Church. Dr. Bill Hardee will officiate. Entombment will follow in Westwood Mausoleum. Friends may visit the family 1 hour prior to the service in the church parlor.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be directed to First Baptist Church 106 West Taylor Street Griffin, GA 30224 in memory of Mr. Adams.
