James Allen "Jim" Collins

Mr. Collins was born May 12, 1963. He enjoyed hunting and riding his Harley Davidson. Mr. Collins was a loving & devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a hard worker and had the “Best Beard Ever.” Mr. Collins was a member of Young at Heart, never met a stranger and would do anything to help anyone. He was preceded in death by his father and step-mother, Don & Vivian Collins.

Survivors include his wife, Susan Collins of Griffin; son & daughter-in-law, Chris & Brenna Wood of Senoia; daughters & sons-in-law, Crystal & T.J. Waldrop of Griffin, Christina & Jared Jones of Coupeville, WA; grandchildren, Macrae, Lily Belle, Reid, Montgomery Wood, Asher Waldrop; mother & step-father, B.J. & Roger Brown of McDonough; brother, Daniel Collins of McDonough, sister, Ronda Scoggins of Forsyth; brother-in-law, Mike Hackett of Griffin and mother-in-law, Barbara angling of Griffin.

Funeral services for Mr. James Allen “Jim” Collins will be held Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Griffin First Assembly of God. Pastor Mike Freeman will officiate. Mr. Collins will lie in state at the church 1 hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Westwood Gardens. Friends may visit the family on Monday, November 10, 2014 from 6 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
