

Mr. Kingsley was born December 9, 1920 in Philadelphia, PA, son of the late David Albert Kingsley and the late Ida Linscott Kingsley. He was a member of the American Legion for 50 years and a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during WWII. Mr. Kingsley retired from United Water Resources after 40 years of service. In addition to his parents Mr. Kingsley was also preceded in death by a brother, Richard Kingsley and sister, Bertha Trefethen.
Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Marilyn Kingsley of Griffin; son & daughter-in-law Gary & Patsy Kingsley also of Griffin; daughter & son-in-law, Karen Sue & Roger O. Wilcox of Sandy, UT; grandchildren, Jared Kingsley, Melissa Kingsley, Kelly Wilcox and Chloe Wilcox and brother & sisters-in-law, Robert & Claire Kingsley of Paramus, N.J. and Rose Kingsley. Nieces & nephews also survive.
Funeral services for Mr. James Edward Kingsley will be held Saturday, April 17, 2010 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Haisten McCullough Funeral Home. Dr. Bill Hardee will officiate. Interment will follow in Westwood Gardens. Friends may visit the family 2 hours prior to the service time.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the donor’s charity of choice in memory of Mr. Kingsley.
Haisten McCullough Funeral Home, 1155 Everee Inn Rd. is in charge of local arrangements.
